Globalization & Free trade Scams .

Globalization is largely the result of planning by politicians to breakdown borders hampering trade to increase prosperity and interdependence thereby decreasing the chance of future war. Their work led to the Bretton Woods conference, an agreement by the world's leading politicians to lay down the framework for international commerce and finance, and the founding of several international institutions intended to oversee the processes of globalization.

These institutions include the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank), and the International Monetary Fund. Globalization has been facilitated by advances in technology which have reduced the costs of trade, and trade negotiation rounds, originally under the auspices of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which led to a series of agreements to remove restrictions on free trade.

The idea of free trade goes something like this :

  • elimination of tariffs; creation of free trade zones with small or no tariffs
  • Reduced transportation costs, especially resulting from development of containerization for ocean shipping.
  • Reduction or elimination of capital controls
  • Reduction, elimination, or harmonization of subsidies for local businesses
  • Creation of subsidies for global corporations
  • Harmonization of intellectual property laws across the majority of states, with more restrictions
  • Supranational recognition of intellectual property restrictions (e.g. patents granted by China would be recognized in the United States)

It's seems that this idea will benefit all of us on a long term basis .... but think again .... it is merely a scam . How, you ask ? .

consequences of globalization.

Poorer countries are sometimes at disadvantage: While it is true that globalization encourages free trade among countries on an international level, there are also negative consequences because some countries try to save their national markets. The main export of poorer countries is usually agricultural goods. It is difficult for these countries to compete with stronger countries that subsidize their own farmers. Because the farmers in the poorer countries cannot compete, they are forced to sell their crops at much lower price than what the market is paying.

Exploitation of foreign impoverished workers: The deterioration of protections for weaker nations by stronger industrialized powers has resulted in the exploitation of the people in those nations to become cheap labor. Due to the lack of protections, companies from powerful industrialized nations are able to force workers to endure extremely long hours, unsafe working conditions, and just enough salary to keep them working. The abundance of cheap labor is giving the countries in power incentive not to rectify the inequality between nations. If these nations developed into industrialized nations, the army of cheap labor would slowly disappear alongside development. With the world in this current state, it is impossible for the exploited workers to escape poverty. It is true that the workers are free to leave their jobs, but in many poorer countries, this would mean starvation for the worker, and possible even his/her family.

Shift from manufacturing to service work: The low cost of offshore workers have enticed corporations to move production to foreign countries. The laid off unskilled workers are forced into the service sector where wages and benefits are low, but turnover is high. This has contributed to the widening economic gap between skilled and unskilled workers. The loss of these jobs has also contributed greatly to the slow decline of the middle class which is a major factor in the increasing economic inequality in the United States. Families that were once part of the middle class are forced into lower positions by massive layoffs and outsourcing to another country. This also means that people in the lower class have a much harder time climbing out of poverty because of the absence of the middle class as a stepping stone.

The rise of contingent work: As globalization causes more and more jobs to be shipped overseas, and the middle class declines, there is less need for corporations to hire full time employees. Companies are less inclined to offer benefits (health insurance, bonuses, vacation time, shares in the company, and pensions), or reduce benefits, to part time workers. Most companies don’t offer any benefits at all. Even though most of the middle class workers still have their jobs, the reality is that their buying power has decreased due to decreased benefits. Job security is also a major issue with contingent work

Weakening of labor unions: The surplus in cheap labor coupled with an ever growing number of companies in transition has caused a weakening of labor unions in the United States. Unions loss their effectiveness when their membership begins to decline. As a result unions hold less power over corporations that are able to easily replace workers, often for lower wages, and have the option to not offer unionized jobs anymore.

Cause they dont they dont speak for us

The term "globalization" has been appropriated by the powerful to refer to a specific form of international economic integration, one based on investor rights, with the interests of people incidental. That is why the business press, in its more honest moments, refers to the "free trade agreements" as "free investment agreements" (Wall St. Journal). Accordingly, advocates of other forms of globalization are described as "anti-globalization"; and some, unfortunately, even accept this term, though it is a term of propaganda that should be dismissed with ridicule. No sane person is opposed to globalization, that is, international integration. Surely not the left and the workers movements, which were founded on the principle of international solidarity - that is, globalization in a form that attends to the rights of people, not private power systems.

"The dominant propaganda systems have appropriated the term "globalization" to refer to the specific version of international economic integration that they favor, which privileges the rights of investors and lenders, those of people being incidental. In accord with this usage, those who favor a different form of international integration, which privileges the rights of human beings, become "anti-globalist." This is simply vulgar propaganda, like the term "anti-Soviet" used by the most disgusting commissars to refer to dissidents. It is not only vulgar, but idiotic. Take the World Social Forum, called "anti-globalization" in the propaganda system -- which happens to include the media, the educated classes, etc., with rare exceptions. The WSF is a paradigm example of globalization. It is a gathering of huge numbers of people from all over the world, from just about every corner of life one can think of, apart from the extremely narrow highly privileged elites who meet at the competing World Economic Forum, and are called "pro-globalization" by the propaganda system. An observer watching this farce from Mars would collapse in hysterical laughter at the antics of the educated classes."

Don't just dive in with the mainstream media .... check and balance ! .

Back In Black ! ...

Its been a few months since my last update .... Well what can i say ? .... As our society labelling the people like me ..... i'm sick, i'm a drug fiend, i'm a junkie and i'm hopeless per say ..... My life been going down the hill since july 2003 is at that time i confessed to my family that i'm depending on drugs on a daily basis .... Like all responsible parents who are concern about the fate of their child they decided to send me to rehab ..... I've remembered the fear and loath that I've felt when i first got there .... Unfamiliar faces, a bizarre way of communicating, the screaming, unpleasant smell of sweats : its chaos there as a freshman there I'm cultured shock .... yeah, that's the word culture shock is all too new for me and i know i need sometime to adapt at this kind of environment .....

As months goes by Ive been conditioned or the more exact word brainwashed .... The method of brainwashing : Repeated ad nauseaum ..... All the activities that I've gone through there are been repetitive but the approach is different ..... Its like an analogy of getting to a same destination but on different vehicle ..... I felt the boredom and pointlessness of living when I'm in the program ....huh ?....wait a minute .... I am the fucking program ..... Its like what Orwell described in 1984 ..... It was a dystopia for the lost soul is like when you depart from the world an re-woken in hades ..... Its a idealist utopia .... What's the different between a realist and idealist ? .... Okay lets say they were Computer programmers whose been assigned to program a fabricated world ... The realist programmer will say " In our virtual world they will be mosquito, the tiny little blighters is necessary ".... But the idealist programmer will disagree " Why do we need mosquito ? We can built a better place without those tiny unpleasantness ". Is all the tall tales that been told inside there to make you believe that you are a problematic homo sapien an outcast is like when Niccolo Machiavelli convince the world through "The Prince" and now most of the world practice it .... I don't deny it they are good inputs inside the rehab but its very little .... very very little.

Its my 6 th time re-admitted there on the 24Th DEC 2008, call me hardcore, dumb, cro-magnon or what so-ever i felt just "Numb" now .... You'll be wondering today is the 22nd Jan 2009 ... Is it just a month treatment? .... no is a 12 month treatment and yes i've ran away from that forsaken place .... I am fed-up and bored being there .... Now i know how Pontius Pilate felt when he was the Roman procurator in Jerusalem in the height of the Roman Empire .... I will not take it anymore, enough is enough .... Have you guys ever heard about the story about Sisyphus? .... Sisyphus was punished by the all mighty Zeus to push a boulder up the hill, and when Sisyphus reach the top he got to repeat it from where he started again and again and again and again .... I refuse to call that punishment it was clearly was a torment and you know what he's crime was ? Sisyphus imprisoned the god of death so that death doesn't occur .... Crazy uh ? .... but not as crazy as i am my biggest assertion for running away is i want to be with the one i love , my sweetheart Nadia .... Not Nadia Hani dude .... is Nadia Roslan (Ye ke tak yayang?) .... She's the reason i ran away .... I felt like Orpheus when he wanted to reclaim his sweetheart from the land of the dead .... ha ha .... call me hopeless romantic .... maybe i just am ....

What i am telling to you guys right now is not tall tales or lie-graphy but the thing Ive gone through in this 28 days .... Remember 28 days Sandra Bullock as an addict and gone to a rehab centre?.... My rehab situation is nothing like that, That will consider acceptable .... Mine was nightmarish and inappropriate .... Why ? .... I tell you why .... First i was violated by a staff until my nose bleed .... secondly they put me in a cell without me knowing what I've done wrong or even an explanation why am I been punished, the worst thing is I'm in the cell with only my boxer on and they put me inside the cell for 20 days .... "Hey bastards I know my rights as a human being and a citizen of this country" .... You know what I'm not stupid nor ignorant i know that a non government organization could not possibly operate an isolation cell in its premises because only the government have the power to put a convict in a cell but with proper procedure or hearing .... and you guys didn't even done a urine test on me goddamn it .... Is this about grudges or revenge ? .... If it is then you guys who should be rehabilitated .... not me ! ....

For shame you are using and exploiting people for your own self and greed ! .... You'll fall one day, History will repeat it self .... People wont just going to stay and do nothing ... they will act!

Modern Day Slavery, Are you one of them?

Define Slavery : Slavery is a social-economic system under which certain persons — known as slaves — are      deprived of personal freedom and compelled to perform ...

- Eventhough today we're living in the age of modernization, where there's hybrid computer, electric cars, portable smart phones, robots and so on, The society that living today is what we call the in-debt society. I mean all of us including myself, When i say "in-debt" means that the things that we think we owns example cars, houses, phone, fridge, kitchen cabinet, television, computers are more or less been paid by installments monthly, weekly, daily or even hourly. My point is the lifestyle that we're living now are based on debts. Okay it seems normal doesn't it?, Well think again ... When we are in debt with an entity means that we are not living freely in other words we are slaves to the system.

Bow to the puppeteers ...

Does TV hypnotize us? ... Mislead us from the truth? ... Brainwashing us unconsiously?...

It is more that we become zombies and require the TV to do our thinking for us.That is prevalent our bias news reports, that lie at every turn, for corporate interests run the media and possibly the mind if we remain unaware.Follow the 20% -80% rule,20% as reality and 80% as bull then you are sane.New commentators lie as much as politicians. In our information age we should not neglect the truth, because knowledge is just a click away. I cant understand why people are letting themself to be lied to?. Most of the news provider nowadays are the weapon of mass deception, All the so called news has been fabricated and all that we've seen now are all lies. We humans have the power to change this, how? by research to gain our knowledge so that the younger generations can know whats really happening in the world so that change is a possibility.
